James Golding

James Golding, born on January 19, 1996, is an Australian racing driver currently competing in the Repco Supercars Championship with PremiAir Racing, driving the No. 31 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1. Golding's journey in motorsport began with karting, where he secured an Australian National title and two Victorian state titles. He also represented Australia at the World Rotax Grand Finals in 2012. Transitioning to open-wheel racing in 2013, he quickly made an impact in the Victorian Formula Ford Championship, winning on his debut and finishing fourth overall. In 2014, he stepped up to the national series, narrowly missing the title.

Golding's talent soon caught the eye of Garry Rogers, leading to his debut in the Dunlop Super2 Series in 2014. He impressed Rogers enough to secure drives in the Dunlop Series in 2015 and 2016, setting the stage for his Supercars career. He debuted in the main Supercars series in 2016, co-driving with James Moffat. In 2018, he demonstrated his potential with a top-10 finish at Bathurst. After Garry Rogers Motorsport withdrew from Supercars, Golding faced a period on the sidelines before returning to full-time racing.

In 2025, Golding will embark on his third full season with PremiAir Racing, building on a strong 2024 season that saw him achieve his maiden pole position in Darwin and a podium finish at Sandown.
