Fernando Navarrete

Fernando Navarrete, born on November 19, 1980, is a Spanish racing driver specializing in touring car competitions. Following in the footsteps of his father, Fernando Navarrete Perdices, Navarrete Jr. began his motorsport journey in karting at the age of eight. In 1992, he secured the runner-up position in the Spanish Karting Championship in the Fórmula C category. Progressing to single-seaters in 1996, he competed in the Fórmula Toyota Castrol, achieving fourth and fifth place in subsequent years.

Navarrete's career evolved into touring cars and GT racing. He participated in events like the 24 Hours of Barcelona and the Renault Sport Clio Trophy, becoming an official Renault driver. In 2004, he won the Copa Hyundai. He also achieved success in the Renault Clio Cup Española, where he was runner-up, third, and ultimately champion in 2007. In 2021, Navarrete competed in TCR Spain with a Peugeot 308 run by SMC Junior Motorsport and participated in selected events of TCR Europe. The following year, he debuted in the GT4 European Series, driving a McLaren 570S GT4 with Gonzalo de Andrés, supported by Chelsea 1979 and Grupo Hafesa.

Navarrete's extensive experience includes participation in the Spanish Touring Car Championship (CET), TCR Europe, and the GT4 European Series. In 2019 he was a title contender in the Spanish Touring Car Championship (CET). His career includes single-seaters, touring cars, and GT series, with experience in Lamborghini Huracan GT3, racing for Team Lazarus during the Total 24 Hours of Spa. He has also teamed up with Alvaro Lobera, competing in Spain's domestic touring car championship.
