Domenico Schiattarella

Domenico "Mimmo" Schiattarella, born on November 17, 1967, is an Italian racing driver with a career spanning various motorsport disciplines. Schiattarella began his racing journey at the age of 14 in karting, later transitioning to Italian Formula 2000, where he secured the championship title in 1987. He further honed his skills in the Italian Formula 3 Championship, achieving the runner-up position in 1991.

Schiattarella's career reached a milestone in 1994 when he debuted in Formula One with the Simtek team. He participated in 7 Grands Prix, with his best result being a 9th-place finish at the 1995 Argentine Grand Prix. Besides Formula One, he also ventured into American open-wheel racing, competing in CART series. Furthermore, Schiattarella has experience in endurance racing, participating in events such as the Le Mans Series and the American Le Mans Series, with a best finish of 6th overall in the 1999 24 Hours of Le Mans.

In more recent years, Schiattarella has participated in the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series and the Italian GT Championship, showcasing his versatility and passion for racing across different platforms.
