Anthony Pretorius

Anthony Pretorius is a rising star in South African motorsport. The 17-year-old from Pretoria is currently competing in the South African Touring Cars (SATC) series for Lee Thompson Racing. Making his mark as the youngest driver in the newly rebranded SATC, previously known as Global Touring Cars, Anthony is rapidly gaining experience racing against factory teams like Toyota Gazoo Racing and other top drivers in the country. He campaigns a privately entered GR Corolla.

Pretorius's passion for racing ignited at a young age. He grew up around the racetrack, transitioning from watching races as a young child to karting and now to touring cars. He secured his first main circuit win in Gqeberha during the midseason South African Touring Cars round. In the 2024 SATC season finale at Zwartkops, Anthony delivered a solid qualifying performance, securing sixth position. In Race 1, he achieved a strong second-place finish, contributing to a Toyota 1-2.

Balancing his racing career with his schooling, Anthony is currently in Grade 11. He looks forward to showcasing his capabilities and developing his skills. With his determination and talent, Anthony Pretorius is a name to watch in South African motorsport.
