Yuji Kunimoto

Yuji Kunimoto, born on September 12, 1990, is a Japanese racing driver currently competing in both Super GT and Super Formula. Known for his versatility and skill behind the wheel, Kunimoto has become a respected figure in the Japanese motorsport scene. He is the younger brother of Keisuke Kunimoto, who won the 2008 Macau Grand Prix.

Kunimoto's career highlights include winning the 2016 Super Formula Championship and the 2010 Japanese Formula 3 Championship. His early career saw him rise through the ranks with impressive performances in karting and Formula Challenge Japan, where he was the series champion in 2008. In Super GT, he debuted in 2009 and has achieved multiple wins and podiums over the years, showcasing his adaptability in GT racing. In 2017, he joined Toyota Gazoo Racing for the World Endurance Championship (WEC), participating in races such as Spa-Francorchamps and Le Mans.

Currently, Kunimoto drives for Racing Project Bandoh in Super GT and Team Impul in Super Formula. Over the years he has driven for Cerumo INGING, Kondo Racing and KCMG. With a career spanning various racing disciplines, Yuji Kunimoto continues to be a prominent name in Japanese motorsport, demonstrating his commitment and talent on the track.
