Václav Janík

Václav Janík, born on December 12, 1973, is a Czech professional racing driver with a diverse career spanning hill climbs and circuit racing. Janík's career began in 1996, driving a Škoda Favorit. His breakthrough came in hill climb racing, where he secured the European Hill Climb Championship in 2009, an achievement that also earned him the prestigious "Golden Steering Wheel" award in the Czech Republic. He has also claimed titles as the Champion and Vice-Champion of the Czech Republic.

Janík's versatility is evident in his participation in various racing series. In 2018, he achieved second place at the famous Ecce Homo hill climb race in Šternberk, driving a Norma M20FC Turbo. More recently, he has been associated with the Hyundai brand since the 2021 season. His team, Janík Motorsport, has expanded its focus to circuit racing, participating in series like TCR Europe, TCR Eastern Europe, the Clio Cup, and the ESET Cup Series. Janík Motorsport has achieved significant success, including multiple overall victories in TCR Eastern Europe and securing the title of best team in the series in both 2022 and 2023.

Janík's team also focuses on developing young talent. He himself has participated in series like the FIA Central European Zone Championship. Through Janík Motorsport, Václav Janík continues to contribute to Czech motorsport as both a driver and a team owner, with nearly 30 years of experience in the sport.
