Marcello Zani

Marcello Zani is an Italian racing driver born on December 12, 1979, in Cesena, Italy. Now 45 years old, Zani has competed in various racing series, most notably the FIA GT3 European Championship. Beyond driving, he's also involved as a team manager. His hobbies include cycling, freestyle snowboarding, inline skating, and karting, with Dijon being listed as his favorite track.

Zani's career highlights include victories in the FIA GT3 European Championship at Brno in 2008 and a double win at Mugello in 2006. He secured a pole position at Spa-Francorchamps in 2006. Over his FIA GT3 career, he entered 13 rounds, achieving 2 overall victories and 3 overall podium finishes. He has raced alongside teammates such as Massimiliano Mugelli, Gianluca Giraudi, Diego Alessi, Giuseppe Ciro, Alex Frassinetti, Leonardo Maddalena, and Pietro Zumerle.

Before transitioning to GT racing, Zani competed in the karting Italian championship from 1994 to 2000. In 2002, he participated in the Alfa 147 Cup, securing three third-place finishes. In more recent years, Zani has transitioned from motorsports to surfing and is the founder of Sequoia Surfboards, blending his passion for racing with the art of shaping surfboards.
