Benno Oertig

Benno Oertig is a Swiss racing driver with a passion for Porsche. Oertig's early racing career began when he obtained his racing license at 18, competing in a Renault R8 Gordini against NSU TTs. However, at 25, he shifted his focus to business, eventually managing 63 companies across 24 European countries. Despite stepping back from racing, his love for cars, particularly Porsche, never faded.

In 1986, Oertig purchased his first Porsche, a 3.2-liter 911 Carrera, marking the beginning of a lifelong dedication to the brand. With a partial withdrawal from professional life, Oertig returned to motorsport, driving a Cayman GT4 Clubsport in the Porsche Sports Cup Suisse. He describes this return as a reconnection with his roots, reuniting with former competitors. Oertig's garage houses a collection of Porsche vehicles, including a 2015 Targa 4, a 2014 GT3, a 2016 Martini GT3 RS, and a 918 Spyder. As of November 2017, he continues to work in private equity and real estate, dedicating half of each month to motorsport. According to 51GT3, Oertig is a Bronze-rated FIA driver.
