Thierry Perrier

Thierry Perrier, a French racing driver born on April 16, 1950, in Boulogne-Billancourt, has had a long and varied career in motorsports. Perrier began his racing journey in 1970 at the age of 20, participating in a hill climb race with a Fiat 595. He honed his skills at the AGACI driving school in Montlhéry and won a spot in the Grand National Tour Auto, sponsored by Opel, Esso, and AGACI. After a break for military service in the navy during 1973 and 1974, he returned to racing, participating in various rallies and circuit events. 2020 marked his 50th year as a race driver.

Perrier is particularly known for his 12 participations in the prestigious 24 Hours of Le Mans. His debut was in 1975, and he achieved a class win in 1980, 1981, and 1984. Beyond driving, Perrier also managed the Perspective Racing team for many years, leading them in FIA GT, Grand-Am, ELMS, and the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Currently, Thierry Perrier holds prominent positions within the French motorsport community. He is the President of the ASA ACO Paris and the Vice-President of the Club des Pilotes des 24 Heures du Mans, demonstrating his continued dedication and influence in the world of racing.
