Sehdi Sarmini is an Austrian racing driver who began his motorsport career in 2011. Known by the nickname "Smile Doc," Sarmini has made a name for himself in the Fanatec GT2 European Series, competing with the True Racing team in a KTM X-BOW GT2.
Sarmini's racing career includes participation in various GT2 European Series events, showcasing his skills in both Pro-Am and Am categories. In 2022, he secured an overall Pro-Am win at Spa-Francorchamps alongside Štefan Rosina, marking a significant achievement for KTM in the series. In 2023, driving with Klaus Angerhofer, Sarmini finished third in the Am class championship. Sarmini and Angerhofer, known for their strong friendship off the track, have proven to be a formidable duo, securing multiple podium finishes and class wins. In 2024, they continued to race together in the Am class.
Sarmini has shown consistent improvement and dedication to his craft. Competing for KTM True Racing, managed by Reiter Engineering, Sarmini enjoys being part of the KTM racing family.
