Leon Price is a South African gentleman racer with a passion for motorsports. Leaving his native South Africa in the late 1970s, Price built a successful career in the Far East with Macsteel, eventually becoming CEO in 1996 and transforming it into a multi-billion dollar global company. However, his true passion lies in racing.
Price is known for his involvement with Dragon Racing International, where he participates in competitive 24-hour races around the world alongside his friend Rob Barff. In 2016, Price debuted in the Blancpain GT Sports Club. Furthermore, Price owns what is said to be the largest private fleet of McLaren race cars in the world, offering track day driving experiences for corporate clients.
Born into a family with a background in bookmaking near the Kenilworth horse racing track in Cape Town, Price's love for cars started at a young age. Today, he combines his business acumen with his passion for racing, making him a notable figure in both the corporate and motorsport worlds.
