In 2019, Matsui achieved his first victory in the 86/BRZ Race Clubman Series Expert Class, winning both heats of Round 6 at Tokachi while driving for Netz Aomori Apple Racing. More recently, in 2022, he competed in the Super Taikyu Series, driving the #38 muta Racing Toyota GR Supra in the ST-1 class alongside Yuui Tsutsumi and Yuichi Nakayama, winning his class in the race at Sugo, finishing seventh overall.
