Kenny Schmied

Kenny Schmied is an American racing driver who made his professional debut in 2023 in SRO's TC America series with AOA Racing, driving a BMW M2 CS Cup. However, his passion for motorsports began much earlier. Growing up, Schmied frequently visited Tri-City Speedway with his father, fostering a love for racing, particularly winged sprint cars. He even had a test run in a quarter midget at a young age, though his racing career didn't officially start until 2017 with a rental kart racing league.

In 2018, Schmied began regional kart racing in the KA100 class. A breakout year followed in 2019, where he achieved multiple podiums and his first regional KA100 victory. Continuing his momentum, he earned his competition racing license in 2019 and then had a successful 2021 season, which included a win at the first-ever 24-hour race at Sebring International and a WRL GTO national championship. Before his TC America debut, Schmied spent three years competing in the World Racing League (WRL) with W2W Racing.
