Ewan Taylor is a South African racing driver born on June 2, 1998. Taylor's passion for racing ignited at a young age, fueled by his father, Barry Taylor, who was a South African Champion in 1972.
Taylor's career began in karting at age 14. He quickly gained international experience, competing in world championships in Italy and at the Le Mans circuit in France. Ewan represented South Africa and the entire African continent at the SuperKarts Supernationals World Finals in Las Vegas. Driving for Energy Corse, he was the first South African/African participant in the event and competed in the S2 class, reaching speeds of 160 km/h.
More recently, Taylor has been involved in the Porsche scene. He was spotted by a Porsche Supercup team and gained experience with them, ultimately participating in a Porsche Sportscup race at Spa Francorchamps in Belgium. Despite limited practice, he qualified well and secured a podium finish, ultimately being offered a seat in the Porsche Supercup team.
