William Owen

William Owen, born on March 23, 1995, is a rising American racing driver hailing from Castle Rock, Colorado. Owen's journey into motorsports began with karting at the age of 15, quickly igniting a passion that would shape his career. He honed his skills in various karting series before transitioning to open-wheel racing. In 2013, he participated in his first open-wheel race in the SCCA June Sprints Formula Mazda. Progressing through the Mazda Road to Indy, Owen achieved a significant milestone in 2014 with a win at the inaugural Indianapolis Grand Prix in the USF2000 National Championship. He further showcased his talent in the Pro Mazda Championship, securing multiple podium finishes.

In 2017, Owen embarked on a new chapter, joining United Autosports in the European Le Mans Series (ELMS) LMP2 class. Paired with Filipe Albuquerque and Hugo de Sadeleer, he celebrated a victory at Silverstone in the opening race and ultimately finished second in the championship. His endurance racing experience expanded to include prestigious events such as the Daytona 24 Hours and the 24 Hours of Le Mans, where he has competed multiple times with United Autosports. In 2022, Owen ventured into the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) in the LMP2 class, continuing his collaboration with Albuquerque and teammate Phil Hanson.
