Timmy Hansen

Timmy Hansen, born on May 21, 1992, is a celebrated Swedish rallycross driver. As the son of 14-time European Rallycross Champion Kenneth Hansen and 1994 ERA European Cup winner Susann Hansen, racing is in his blood. His younger brother, Kevin Hansen, is also a rallycross driver. Timmy's career began in karting, where he won the Swedish Karting Championship in 2008. He then transitioned to single-seaters, competing in Formula BMW Europe, Formula Renault 2.0 Alps, and Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0, achieving race wins against future Formula 1 drivers.

In 2013, Hansen made a full-time switch to rallycross, finishing third in the European Rallycross Championship. He has been a consistent presence in the FIA World Rallycross Championship since its inception in 2014, racing in every event. In 2019, driving for Team Peugeot-Hansen, Timmy realized his dream, clinching the FIA World Rallycross Championship title. Beyond World RX, Timmy has also excelled in Nitro Rallycross, winning the first event in Utah in 2018 and again in 2021.

Timmy's versatility extends to other racing disciplines. He competed in Extreme E, securing a victory at the Arctic X Prix in Greenland in 2021 with Andretti Altawkilat Extreme E. In 2024, he achieved podium finishes in Nitrocross and Extreme E. Hansen also participates in the E1 Series, an electric powerboat championship, earning podiums for Team Brazil. With 13 event wins and 45 podiums in his rallycross career, Timmy Hansen continues to be a formidable force in the world of motorsport.
