Tetsuya Tanaka

Tetsuya Tanaka, born on December 16, 1965, is a highly respected Japanese racing driver with a career spanning over three decades. Tanaka began his professional racing journey in 1990, after developing his skills in the Gymkhana A2 class. He has since competed in a wide variety of races, including Formula Nippon, Super GT, and the prestigious 24 Hours Nürburgring, showcasing his versatility and adaptability across different racing disciplines.

Tanaka's achievements include multiple series championships in the Super Taikyu Series, demonstrating his consistency and skill in endurance racing. He secured series championships in 2000, 2001 and 2004 in the Super Taikyu Class 1. In 2012, Tanaka participated in Nürburgring 24 Hours, finishing 99th overall and second in class. Beyond his racing accomplishments, Tanaka is also known for his technical expertise. He served as a test driver for the Nissan R35 GT-R and currently acts as a technical advisor for DIXCEL, a brake pad manufacturer, lending his expertise to product development. He is also an instructor at the Suzuka Racing School and the Nissan Racing School.

Considered a versatile driver capable of mastering any car, Tanaka continues to be involved in motorsports, currently competing in the Super Taikyu series. He is also an instructor at various driving events, sharing his knowledge with aspiring racers.
