Stefan Kiefer

Stefan Kiefer, born on November 17, 1965, in Bad Kreuznach, Germany, was a prominent figure in the world of motorcycle racing, initially as a driver and later as a successful team owner. Kiefer's racing career began in the late 1980s, making an impression in the German Yamaha Castrol Cup in 1989 and 1990. However, he transitioned from riding to team management in 1996, founding Kiefer Racing with his brother Jochen and competing in the ADAC Junior Cup.

Kiefer Racing debuted on the world stage in 2003. The team achieved its first major victory in 2008 when Stefan Bradl won in the 125 World Championship. In 2010, still with Bradl, Kiefer Racing secured a Moto2 win at Estoril. The team went on to win the Moto2 World Championship in 2011 with Stefan Bradl. Kiefer Racing continued to be a significant presence in Moto2 and Moto3, claiming another championship in 2015 with Danny Kent in Moto3.

Beyond world championships, Kiefer Racing also competed in the ADAC Northern Europe Cup, securing consecutive titles in the Moto3 standard class with Dirk Geiger in 2016 and 2017. Stefan Kiefer passed away in October 2017. His contributions to motorcycle racing as a team owner and manager left a lasting impact on the sport.
