Sophie Hofmann

Sophie Hofmann, born on June 3, 1998, is a German racing driver who has steadily progressed through the ranks of motorsport. Starting her career in karting in 2013, she quickly achieved success, securing podium finishes in national and international karting events until 2017. In 2018, Hofmann transitioned to touring car racing, competing in the VW Scirocco R-Cup and demonstrating her adaptability with successful results in regional series.

The year 2019 marked her move to a higher class, racing a Seat Cupra TCR in various series across Germany and internationally. She also made a guest appearance in the ADAC TCR Germany at the Sachsenring. In 2020, Hofmann switched to rear-wheel-drive cars, participating in the Seyffarth Audi R8 LMS GT4 Cup, where she achieved a commendable sixth place in the overall standings after competing in both national and international races.

Since 2021, Sophie has been competing in national and international races in the DTM Trophy, a GT racing series, driving an Audi R8 LMS GT. Representing Heide-Motorsport, she sees the DTM platform as an opportunity to be part of a popular racing series and to serve as a role model, especially for young women. Her favorite tracks include Assen and Norisring.
