Simone Iacone

Simone Iacone, born on February 8, 1984, in Pescara, Italy, is an accomplished Italian auto racing driver with a career spanning various racing disciplines. Iacone's journey in motorsports began with a strong foundation in karting, where he secured second place in the Italian Kart Championship in both 1996 and 1997, showcasing his early talent and potential.

His career progressed into car racing in 2003 when he entered the Italian Alfa Challenge. He dominated the competition, securing the Under 25 title with impressive statistics: seven podium finishes, three pole positions, and five lap records in ten races. Building on this success, Iacone clinched the European Alfa Romeo 147 Challenge title in 2004, highlighted by three victories at Monza, Valencia, and Spa, along with seven podiums. In 2006, Iacone joined Zerocinque Motorsport for the Italian Superturismo Championship, finishing sixth overall. That championship included two rounds within the World Touring Car Championship season. Adding to his accolades, Iacone won the Italian Seat Leon Supercopa in 2010, driving for Team PRS Group, securing four race wins, one pole position, and eight podium finishes.
