Santiago Ramos

Santiago Ramos Reynoso, born on January 26, 2004, is a Mexican racing driver currently competing in the FIA Formula 3 Championship with Van Amersfoort Racing. Previously, he raced in the same series with Trident. Ramos's early racing memories involve watching Formula 1 races with his father, particularly recalling a race at Spa where Michael Schumacher emerged victorious. His racing hero is fellow Mexican driver Sergio Perez, whom he knows well and was mentored by in Perez's karting academy.

Ramos began his open-wheel career in the Italian F4 Championship in 2019, participating in the final three rounds. In 2020, he continued in Italian F4, securing regular points and finishing 16th overall with a best finish of fifth. The following year, he aimed for a full season in Italian F4 but had to withdraw from a round due to an injury. In 2023, Ramos competed in the Formula Regional European Championship, achieving a podium finish at the Hungaroring and finishing 11th overall.

Ramos describes his racing style as intelligent, focusing on championship points and avoiding unnecessary risks. He is a three-time Mexican karting champion, considering it his biggest racing achievement to date. Ramos finds the experience of driving high-performance cars on world-class circuits to be the best aspect of being a racing driver.
