Richard Parfitt

Richard William Parfitt, born on October 18, 1974, also known as Rick Parfitt Jr, is a British musician and former racing driver. Parfitt's racing career began in karting, where he achieved considerable success, securing multiple national and international titles between 1996 and 2004, including wins at the Le Mans 24 Du Karting and the Dubai 24hr. In 2010, he won the Silverstone Classic 'Celebrity Race'.

Parfitt transitioned to car racing in 2011, joining the GT5 class and demonstrating impressive speed, setting two lap records. Progressing to the British GT Championship, he clinched the GT4 title in 2013 with Optimum Motorsport. In 2017, driving for Bentley Team Parker, he won the GT3 category. He made his debut in the British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) in 2021 with EXCELR8, driving a Hyundai i30N. In 2022, he joined Team Hard Racing, driving an Infiniti Q50.

Outside of racing, Parfitt is also a musician. He is the son of Status Quo musician Rick Parfitt and has been open about living with Crohn's disease, serving as an ambassador for Crohn's and Colitis UK. He is a director of the corporate event agency R&R Agency Ltd and supports Nottingham Forest.
