Richard Lyons

Richard Lyons is a British racing driver born on August 8, 1979, who has achieved significant success, particularly in Japan. He began his racing career in the UK, competing in Formula Vauxhall Junior where he won the Winter Series in 1996. He later progressed to Formula Palmer Audi, finishing second in 1999.

Lyons found considerable success in Japan, winning both the Formula Nippon and the All-Japan GT Championship GT500 titles in 2004. He competed in Formula Nippon from 2001 to 2005, with a consistent performance resulting in a third-place finish in 2005. Additionally, he participated in the A1 Grand Prix series for A1 Team Ireland during the 2006-07 season.

Lyons also has experience in V8 Supercars, with a notable fifth-place finish at the 2007 Bathurst 1000. In 2011, he returned to V8 Supercars and achieved a first and third finish in two races at the Gold Coast 600. More recently, he has been involved in GT racing, competing in the Japanese Super GT series and the Intercontinental GT Challenge, demonstrating his versatility and continued passion for motorsport.
