Nikita Lastochkin

Nikita Lastochkin is a Russian racing driver, born on May 5, 1990, who currently resides in Los Angeles, California. Although born in Russia, Nikita moved to the United States at the age of 16. Unlike many of his peers, Lastochkin's path to professional racing began later in life, at the age of 22, after he moved to the US.

Lastochkin started his racing career in 2013, immediately showing promise by finishing 2nd in the Skip Barber Winter Series and earning the "Most Improved Driver" award. He quickly progressed through various series, including the F1600 Championship Series, where he secured multiple wins and podiums. In 2014, he won the Pacific Region F1600 Championship. Nikita continued his development in the Mazda Road to Indy program, competing in the USF2000 and Indy Pro 2000 championships. Career highlights include finishing 5th overall in the 2017 Pro Mazda Championship, earning the Tilton "Hard Charger" Award in the 2018 Pro Mazda Championship and a Royal Purple "Slickest Pass" award in 2017. In 2021, Lastochkin joined HMD Motorsports in Indy Lights.

Throughout his career, Lastochkin has accumulated numerous wins, podiums, and pole positions. SnapLap indicates that, as of now, he has 12 wins, 31 podiums and 15 pole positions in 159 starts. He has also set lap records at several tracks, including Watkins Glen International, NOLA Motorsports Park, Buttonwillow Raceway, and Seattle Pacific Raceways.
