Nigel Melker, born on January 25, 1991, is a Dutch former racing driver with a career spanning various single-seater categories. Melker began his motorsport journey in karting, achieving early success by winning the Dutch Mini Junior Cup in 2001 and the German Junior Championship in 2005. He was also the runner-up in the European ICA Junior championship in 2005.
Transitioning to single-seaters in 2008, Melker competed in the Formula Renault 2.0 Northern European Cup and the Italian Formula Renault Championship. Progressing through the ranks, he participated in the GP3 Series, Formula 3 Euro Series, GP2 Series, and Formula Renault 3.5 Series. In 2014, Melker won the FA1 Championship. Notably, in his debut in the Formula Renault 3.5 Series at Silverstone in 2012, he secured a podium finish in wet conditions. Melker's career highlights include winning the opening race of the 2011 GP3 season in Istanbul and finishing fourth in the 2011 Formula 3 Euro Series.
