Meisam Taheri

Meisam Taheri, born on January 18, 1980, in Takestan, Iran, developed an early fascination with automobiles. This interest began with disassembling car and engine parts. By the age of 10, he was already driving. However, his racing career didn't commence until after his family's relocation to the UAE. There, he honed his skills in local karting before progressing to the Toyota, BMW, and Radical Cup series.

His breakthrough came in 2015 in the TRD GT86 Cup, where he achieved several podium finishes, ultimately securing third place in the standings. That same year, Taheri clinched a significant international victory by winning the CN2 class of the Gulf 12 Hours in Abu Dhabi. This success paved the way for his entry into European racing, joining Bas Koeten's Wolf team in various endurance championships.

In 2017, Taheri made history as the first and only Iranian driver to compete in a NASCAR-sanctioned championship, EuroNASCAR. Initially partnering with Lucas Lasserre, he later established his own entry before joining RDV Competition. After a one-off return to EuroNASCAR in 2019, he participated in the 24H Series in 2020 before the COVID-19 pandemic halted his racing career. As of now, he has yet to return to racing.
