Mauro Trentin

Mauro Trentin is an Italian racing driver with a diverse background in motorsport, primarily known for his participation in GT racing and rally events. Born on July 3, 1978, Trentin began his career in 2001, making a name for himself in Italian rallying, particularly in the Trofeo Rally Terra (Italian Gravel Rally Championship). He secured the title twice, in 2008 and 2012, showcasing his skill on gravel surfaces, initially driving a Peugeot 207 S2000.

Transitioning to GT racing, Trentin has been a consistent competitor in various series, including the Italian GT Championship and GT Cup Europe. He has primarily been associated with Ferrari, driving models such as the F430 and 488, but has also raced with Lamborghini and Porsche. Throughout his GT career, he has participated in numerous events at tracks like Mugello, Imola, and Monza, demonstrating his versatility on asphalt. In 2024, he teamed up with Tommaso Lovati to drive for Mertel Motorsport in the Italian GT Championship.

Trentin holds a Bronze FIA Driver Categorisation. While his racing history includes numerous starts and finishes, he is still seeking his first podium finish in GT racing. Despite this, his consistent participation and experience make him a respected competitor in the Italian motorsport scene.
