Matthieu Vaxiviere

Matthieu Vaxiviere, born on December 3, 1994, is a French racing driver hailing from Limoges. Currently, he showcases his talent driving for Alpine in the Hypercar class of the FIA World Endurance Championship. Vaxiviere's career began in karting before transitioning to car racing in 2010 in the Mitjet Series. The following year, he competed in the French F4 Championship, securing the title. He further honed his skills in the Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0 before making his mark in the Formula Renault 3.5 Series, driving for Lotus.

Vaxiviere's sportscar debut came in the Asian Le Mans Series, where he partnered with Michele Rugolo and Stéphane Lémeret, achieving a victory at Fuji Speedway and helping DH Racing secure second place in the championship. As an Alpine works driver, Vaxiviere has been a key part of their FIA World Endurance Championship efforts, driving the Alpine A480 in the Hypercar category. In 2023, he stepped down to the LMP2 category with Alpine, partnering with Charles Milesi and Julien Canal. 2024 saw Alpine return to Hypercar, with Vaxiviere continuing as a driver.

Throughout his career, Vaxiviere has achieved considerable success, including wins in the World Series, Blancpain, and the Asian Le Mans Series. He also finished second in the 12 Hours of Bathurst and the Sebring. His favorite tracks include Pau-Ville and Silverstone.
