Mason Filippi

Mason Filippi is a 26-year-old American race car driver currently competing in the TCR class of the Michelin Pilot Challenge for Bryan Herta Autosport. His racing journey began with dirt bikes at a young age, transitioning to karts at 11 and Spec Miatas by 14. During his Spec Miata days, Mason worked closely with his father, gaining hands-on experience with car mechanics while honing his racing skills. He progressed through the touring car ranks, ultimately becoming a factory driver for Hyundai in IMSA.

Filippi's resume includes participation in prestigious events such as IMSA, the Nürburgring 24 Hour, and the 24 Hours of Daytona. In 2023, he achieved 12 podium finishes, including 2 victories, and 3 top-five finishes. He debuted in NASCAR's Xfinity and Craftsman Truck Series, leveraging his road course expertise. Beyond racing, Mason is a professional driver coach, mentoring racers across various categories.

His goals include an IMSA WeatherTech Championship, a Le Mans victory, participation in the GT3 class of the 24 Hours of Nürburgring and Spa 24 Hour races, and a 24 Hours of Daytona win. Filippi also founded OpenFender, a platform to support racers. He was named the 2014 SCCA SFR Rookie of the Year and won the National Auto Sport Association's Teen Mazda Challenge West Coast title in 2015.
