Marco Wittmann

Marco Wittmann, born on November 24, 1989, is a German professional racing driver and a BMW Motorsport works driver. Known for his versatility and skill across different racing disciplines, Wittmann has made a significant impact in the world of motorsports, primarily in the DTM (Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters) series.

Wittmann's career began in karting at a young age, achieving success early on by winning the 2004 German Junior Karting Championship. He transitioned to car racing in 2007, competing in Formula BMW ADAC and later in Formula 3 Euro Series, showcasing his talent with multiple podium finishes. However, it's in DTM where Wittmann truly made his mark. He joined BMW as a test driver in 2012 and debuted as a full-time driver in 2013. He quickly established himself as a top contender, securing the DTM championship titles in 2014 and 2016.

Beyond DTM, Wittmann has also participated in various GT endurance events, including the 24 Hours of Nürburgring. In recent years, he has expanded his racing endeavors by joining Schubert Motorsport in the DTM and becoming part of BMW M Team WRT in the FIA World Endurance Championship's Hypercar category in 2024. Partnering with drivers like Raffaele Marciello and Dries Vanthoor, Wittmann continues to compete at the highest levels of motorsport, demonstrating his commitment to racing.
