Manuel Reuter

Manuel Reuter, born in Mainz, Germany, on December 6, 1961, is a highly accomplished and respected figure in motorsport, particularly renowned as a touring car legend. His career spanned from the 1970s, starting with karting, to his retirement from professional racing in 2005. Reuter's versatility is evident in his success across various racing disciplines, including Formula Ford, Formula 3, DTM (German Touring Car Championship), and sports car racing. He began his touring car career in 1985 and participated in over 200 DTM races, marking him as one of Germany's most successful touring car drivers.

Reuter achieved significant milestones driving for prominent manufacturers such as Ford, Mercedes-Benz, and Opel. His most notable accomplishments include two victories at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, in 1989 driving a Sauber-Mercedes and again in 1996 with a Porsche. He also secured a win at the 24 Hours Nürburgring in 2003 driving an Opel. In 1996, he won the ITC (International Touring Car Championship) title in an Opel Calibra V6.

After retiring from racing, Reuter remained actively involved in the motorsport world. He served as a brand ambassador for Opel, developed automotive events with his company DRIVING PERFORMANCE, and provided expert commentary for DTM races on German television. Additionally, he has dedicated himself to triathlon and various charitable activities.
