Lorenz Stegmann

Lorenz Stegmann, born on August 6, 2003, is a rising German racing talent making waves in the GT racing scene. Hailing from Faid, Germany, Stegmann's passion for motorsport ignited early, fueled by his father, a skilled KFZ-Meister (certified car mechanic) and track day enthusiast. Despite not having a karting background, Stegmann's natural aptitude for driving became evident when he first took the wheel in the Porsche Drivers Cup in 2020.

His career formally began in 2021, achieving success in the Porsche Sports Cup Sprint GT, where he immediately impressed with a third-place overall finish and a win in the Cayman GT4 class at his debut. This strong performance led to further opportunities, including participation in the Porsche Sports Cup Endurance Challenge. In 2023, Stegmann ventured into international competition, joining Team Spirit Racing in the GT4 European Series. He partnered with Markus Lungstrass in an Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT4, showcasing his skills in the highly competitive Pro-Am class.

Stegmann's journey is backed by his family, Van Berghe, Performance by Car GmbH, sponsors, and friends. Outside of racing, Lorenz enjoys cycling, jet skiing, boating, sim racing, and running. His racing idol is Kévin Estre, and he aims to continue his development in motorsport, potentially through further education or vocational training in the field.
