Přehled závodníka

Kazuho Takahashi, born on January 18, 1953, is a Japanese businessman and semi-retired racing driver. He is the CEO, President, and founder of VT Holdings and Honda Cars Tokai. Takahashi began his racing career relatively late, in 1994, participating in events like the Tokachi 24 Hours and the Suzuka 1000km. In 1998, he established Cars Tokai Dream28, the racing arm of his Honda dealership group.

Takahashi entered the All Japan Grand Touring Car Championship (JGTC), now known as Super GT, in 2001. Driving a Honda NSX, he later partnered with Akira Watanabe and then Hiroki Katoh. He achieved significant success in the mid-2000s with the Vemac RD320R and Mooncraft Shiden, narrowly missing the GT300 Drivers' Championship in both 2006 and 2007 but securing the Constructors' Championship in 2007. In 2008, he participated in the 24 Hours of Le Mans with Team Terramos.

Although he announced his retirement from Super GT driving at the end of the 2019 season, Takahashi continued to race in the Pirelli Super Taikyu Series. His career highlights include two Super GT victories, twelve podiums, and 44 top-10 finishes in 134 championship rounds. He also holds the record for 23 starts in the Suzuka summer endurance race. Beyond racing, Takahashi's VT Holdings acquired Caterham Cars in 2021, showcasing his passion for the automotive industry. He also won the Fuji 24 Hours race in 2021 driving a KTM X-Bow GTX.
