Jacques Derenne

Jacques Derenne is a Belgian racing driver with experience in various racing series. He has been actively involved in motorsports for several years, demonstrating his skills primarily in GT racing. Derenne's career highlights include participation in the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie (NLS), where he has achieved notable success, including multiple class wins and pole positions. In November 2024, he teamed up with Bruno Barbaro to drive a Porsche Cayman GTS for HY Racing in the Supercars Endurance series Campeonato de Portugal de Velocidade at the Estoril Circuit. Although their debut was hampered by mechanical issues, the team has expressed interest in future participation in select Iberian Supercars / Campeonato de Portugal de Velocidade rounds.

Derenne has also participated in the TOYOTA GAZOO Racing Trophy, competing against other drivers in GT86 models. According to DriverDB, Jacques Derenne has started 52 races, with 9 wins and 23 podiums.

Beyond racing, Jacques Derenne is also a partner at Sheppard Mullin, heads the EU Competition & Regulation practice of the Brussels office, and is a professor at the University of Liège and the Brussels School of Competition, teaching State aid law.
