Přehled závodníka
Harry Gottsacker, born on July 28, 1999, is an accomplished American racing driver currently showcasing his talents in the TCR class of the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge with Bryan Herta Autosport. Gottsacker's journey into motorsports began at the age of 13, inspired by his family's involvement in IndyCar and NHRA teams. His natural talent quickly shone through, securing a World Championship race win at Daytona International Speedway in his debut season, a feat he repeated the following year alongside another podium finish. By 14, he had become a factory driver for the Intrepid Driver Program, representing the USA in the KZ2 World Championship in Italy.
Transitioning to car racing at 16, Gottsacker competed in both Red Bull Global Rallycross and the Pirelli World Challenge. He achieved a podium finish at Utah Motorsports Campus and a fifth-place finish at Laguna Seca in his Ginetta G55 GT4. In 2018, driving the SIN R1 GT4, he secured wins at Portland and Utah, along with multiple podiums, leading to a second-place finish in both the GTS Overall Championship and the GTS SprintX Championship. This success propelled him into GT4 America SprintX, where he dominated with four race wins and clinched the West ProAm Driver's Championship.
In recent years, Gottsacker has been a consistent force in the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge. Notably, he partnered with Mark Wilkins in 2021 to develop the Hyundai Elantra N TCR, contributing to a fourth-place finish in the championship with a win at Laguna Seca. Teaming up with Parker Chase in 2022, he earned his sixth pole position, setting a TCR record at Laguna Seca, and secured a strategic victory at Mid-Ohio. In 2023, alongside Robert Wickens, Gottsacker clinched the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge TCR title. Continuing his success into 2025, he started the season with a TCR class win at Sebring International Raceway.
