Hans-joachim Stuck

Hans-Joachim "Strietzel" Stuck, born on January 1, 1951, is a German racing legend who has left an indelible mark on motorsport. Son of the pre-World War II Grand Prix ace Hans Stuck, racing was in his blood. Stuck began his career in the late 1960s and quickly rose through the ranks, demonstrating his versatility across various racing disciplines. Stuck's career highlights include multiple wins in the 24 Hours of Le Mans (1986, 1987), the German Touring Car Championship (DTM) title in 1990, and success in various sports car and touring car series.

While Stuck achieved considerable success outside of Formula 1, he also competed in 81 Grands Prix between 1974 and 1979. While he never secured a win, he earned two podiums and consistently demonstrated his skill behind the wheel, driving for teams like March, Brabham, Shadow, and ATS.

Beyond his driving achievements, Stuck is admired for his charismatic personality and contributions to the sport. After retiring from professional racing, he remained involved in motorsport, including serving as President of the German Motorsport Association (DMSB).
