Castelli made a memorable cameo in the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series in 2012, joining Rapido Racing for a one-off appearance at the final round in Le Mans. Despite having no prior experience in stock cars and being ineligible for championship points, he stunned the racing world by winning both EuroNASCAR PRO races that weekend. This remarkable achievement has given him the unique distinction of being the only driver to win every EuroNASCAR race he has entered.

Beyond his unexpected success in NASCAR, Castelli has built a solid career in GT racing. As of late 2024, he competes in the Championnat de France GT4 - Pro-Am with Mirage Racing, driving an Alpine A110 GT4.
