Frederick Martin-Dye

Frederick Martin-Dye, also known as "Fast Freddie," is a British racing driver with a multifaceted career in motorsports and automotive engineering. Born on November 26, 1988, he began his racing journey at the young age of 8, quickly achieving success in karting. He secured numerous victories in the UK and Europe, participating in prestigious British, Italian, French, German, and European Karting Championships. Martin-Dye raced for renowned teams like RFM Motorsport, Maranello, and Swiss Hutless, earning the title of British Vice-Champion three times. At just 15, he became the youngest member of the British Racing Drivers Club as a Rising Star.

Faced with budgetary constraints that threatened to halt his racing aspirations, Martin-Dye pursued a Master's Engineering Degree from the University of Bath. During his time at university, he played a pivotal role in the Formula Student project, contributing to the design and build of race cars and serving as the lead driver. He also won the British Universities Karting Championship (BUKC). This blend of practical experience and academic knowledge proved invaluable. Currently, Martin-Dye works as a Programme Manager at McLaren Automotive, contributing to the development of models like the Senna, Senna GTR, and Elva.

Alongside his engineering career, Martin-Dye continues to race, currently competing in the ADAC GT4 German Championship with Dörr Motorsport, driving a McLaren 570S GT4 in partnership with Basis Technologies. He is also a race instructor, drift instructor, and a Pure McLaren coach. His racing stats show that he has had 30 starts and 3 podiums.
