Filipe Albuquerque

Filipe Albuquerque, born on June 13, 1985, is a Portuguese professional racing driver celebrated for his prowess in endurance racing. Albuquerque's career began in karting at a young age, quickly progressing to Formula cars, supported by Red Bull. He later transitioned to GT racing with Audi, achieving success in the Italian GT Championship and the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC).

Albuquerque's career highlights include securing the LMP2 class title in the 2019-20 FIA World Endurance Championship, a memorable LMP2 class victory at the 2020 24 Hours of Le Mans with United Autosports, and overall wins at the 24 Hours of Daytona in 2018 and 2021. He has also won the European Le Mans Series championship. Currently, he competes in the IMSA SportsCar Championship with Wayne Taylor Racing, driving an Acura ARX-06, and in the European Le Mans Series with Nielsen Racing, piloting an Oreca 07. His accomplishments have earned him recognition in Portugal, including the Commander of the Order of Merit Award.
