Elton Julian

Elton Julian, born on August 16, 1974, is an American race car driver and team owner with a diverse career spanning various racing disciplines. Julian began his racing journey in Southern California at the age of 13, starting with go-karts before transitioning to Formula Ford at the Skip Barber Racing School. His early success was remarkable, securing 36 wins from 49 starts and claiming four championships in 1990.

Julian's career progressed into International Formula 3000, where he gained experience racing in Europe. He later transitioned to sports car racing, participating in the American Le Mans Series. A notable achievement includes a third-place finish in the American Le Mans Series' LMPC prototype class in 2010, with four wins that season. Beyond driving, Julian established himself as a team owner with DragonSpeed, competing in series such as the FIA World Endurance Championship, WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, European Le Mans Series, and IndyCar Series.

In recent years, Julian has combined his driving talents with team management and driver coaching. He initially retired from driving at the end of 2012 to focus on DragonSpeed. However, he returned to racing in 2015, driving for his team in the Blancpain Endurance Series. DragonSpeed has achieved success in the European Le Mans Series, winning the title in 2017. Julian also works as a kart manager and runs a driving school and performance center.
