Costantino Bertuzzi is an Italian racing driver with a career spanning over three decades. Born on January 14, 1970, Bertuzzi's journey in motorsports began early, testing go-karts at the age of six. His father, Camillo, was involved in motorsports and founded BM Motori, an Italian firm that built frames and engines for go-karts, achieving World and European Championships with drivers like Ronnie Peterson and Ayrton Senna.
Bertuzzi's early career included success in motorcycles, winning the Italian Moto Championship by age 15. Transitioning to cars, he debuted in the 1988 Sardinia Rally during his military service. He is a four-time Ferrari Challenge world champion and a three-time winner in IMSA. In 1997, he was awarded a gold helmet recognizing him as one of the best drivers. Bertuzzi also served as a test driver for Ferrari, contributing to the development of the 360 Challenge, and Pirelli. In 2001, he managed the Ferrari set up at the Beverly Hills 360 Challenge Racing Team and worked as a test driver on the 360 GT program.
With over 450 trophies, Bertuzzi's passion for racing remains strong. He has participated in the Rolex Daytona 24 Hours nine times. More recently, in 2017, he competed in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Middle East. SnapLap indicates that he has 12 starts and 1 pole position. While Costantino Bertuzzi has an extensive and successful racing history, he was last noted as "Not Active" in current competition.
