Cooper Murray

Cooper Murray, born on August 13, 2001, is a rising star in Australian motorsport. Hailing from Melbourne, Victoria, this talented driver began his racing journey in karts at the age of 10, quickly showcasing his potential by securing two Australasian championship titles and six state titles. Transitioning to car racing in 2016, Murray honed his skills in national and state-level Formula Ford competitions before making a significant move to the Porsche scene in 2018.

Murray made a splash in the Porsche Michelin GT3 Cup Challenge, claiming an impressive eight wins from 17 starts. Continuing his ascent, he progressed to the Porsche Carrera Cup Australia in 2019, where a mid-season switch to McElrea Racing resulted in a remarkable hat-trick of victories in Townsville. In 2023, Murray entered the Dunlop Super2 Series with Eggleston Motorsport, winning his debut race and finishing fourth overall, with two race wins, one pole position and five podiums.

In 2024, Murray showcased his talent with Triple Eight Race Engineering as a Supercheap Auto wildcard, partnering with Craig Lowndes for the Darwin Triple Crown, Sandown 500 and Bathurst 1000. 2025 marks a significant milestone for Murray as he embarks on his first full-time season in the Supercars Championship with Erebus Motorsport, driving the #99 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1, with Wayne Mackie as his engineer.
