Cass Whitehead is a highly accomplished American racing driver with over 30 years of experience in the sport. Whitehead began his racing career in SCCA club racing while pursuing an engineering degree from Georgia Tech. His talent was immediately apparent, earning him the SCCA Rookie National Driver of the Year award in his first year of national competition.

Throughout the 1990s, Whitehead transitioned into professional racing, making a living driving race cars and instructing others. He secured the 1991 IMSA International Sedan Manufacturers Championship and finished as runner-up in the driver's championship while driving a Nissan. He further showcased his skills as a factory-supported driver for Nissan in the IMSA Supercar Series, piloting a 300ZX Turbo. Whitehead's success extended to numerous factory-supported teams, including Nissan, Porsche, Ferrari, Oldsmobile, and Ford. His expertise proved instrumental in Porsche's capture of a GT Championship in the Rolex Grand-Am series while driving a Porsche GT3RS. In 2001, he achieved a third-place finish at the 24 Hours of Daytona driving a Lola/Nissan Prototype II car.

Whitehead currently serves as the Chief Instructor for the Porsche Track Experience – USA. He has also held lead instructor positions at Panoz Racing School, Saab Viggen Driving School, Audi Driving Experience, and Skip Barber Racing School. His licenses include FIA- Grade B, Grand Am, IMSA GTP, SCCA Pro Racing, and SCCA National & Regional.
