Bertrand Godin

Bertrand Godin, born on November 17, 1967, is a Canadian racing driver from Saint-Hyacinthe, Quebec. Godin's career began in karting in 1986. He then ventured into various racing series, distinguishing himself in Formula Ford, Indy Lights, Formula Atlantic, Formula 3000, and Formula 1600, showcasing his talent across North America and Europe.

Godin's early career highlights include being a two-time vice-champion in French Formula Ford in 1993 and 1994. In 1997, he secured a significant victory in the Formula Atlantic race at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve during the Canadian Grand Prix weekend, followed by another win in Cleveland. He also participated in the Formula 3000 Championship in Europe in 1998. After a hiatus from professional racing, Godin made a comeback in Formula 1600, winning the Grand Prix de Trois-Rivières in 2018 and finishing third in the championship in 2019, with another win at Trois-Rivières that year.

Beyond racing, Bertrand Godin has become a prominent figure in the Canadian motorsports community. He has contributed to road safety initiatives in Quebec and has worked as a motorsports analyst and commentator for networks like RDS and TVA Sports. He was inducted into the Canadian Motorsport Hall of Fame in 2022. Godin has also served as a racing instructor and spokesperson for the Marie-Robert Foundation, which supports individuals with head injuries.
