Baumann Reto

Reto Baumann is a Swiss racing driver and team owner of Red Panther Motorsport. Baumann's racing journey began in karting in Switzerland, where he competed in the Rotax Max heavy classes with the English ProTrain Racing Team. He later transitioned to karting in the United States, participating in the East Coast Rotax Max Senior Championship and the Sanzaru Games Karting Championship on the West Coast, achieving multiple wins and top-ten finishes.

In 2017, Baumann acquired a former Pirelli World Touring Championship (PWC) winning VW Jetta 2.0 GLI, built by AUDI Motorsport USA, marking Red Panther Motorsport's entry into race car competition. The team dedicated 2018 to preparing the car for the US Touring Car Challenge (USTCC). In 2018, Baumann participated in his first endurance race, the USAF 25 Hours of Thunderhill, finishing second in the E0 class in 2019. He also competed in the 24H Series Dubai in 2021 with Autorama Wetzikon. Baumann holds an FIA International (Bronze Level) license, as well as IMSA and NASA competition licenses.

Besides racing, Baumann works as a Global Strategic Account Manager for an international technology firm. He views Red Panther Motorsport as a family and values the team's passion for racing success.
