Ashley Sutton

Ashley Sutton, born on January 15, 1994, is a highly accomplished British racing driver, currently competing in the British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) with NAPA Racing UK. Sutton's career began in karting, where he secured multiple titles before transitioning to single-seaters. In 2010, he finished fourth in the Formula Vee Championship, earning the Rookie of the Year award. After a hiatus, he returned to racing in 2014, placing third in the British Formula Ford Championship.

Sutton made a significant leap in 2015, switching to tin-tops and winning the Renault UK Clio Cup title with Team BMR and Team Pyro. This success propelled him into the BTCC in 2016 with Triple Eight Racing, driving an MG6, and he immediately made his mark, securing a race win and the Jack Sears Trophy. The 2017 season saw Sutton join Adrian Flux Subaru Racing, where he impressively clinched his first BTCC title, becoming the youngest champion since 1966. He further solidified his status by winning back-to-back championships in 2020 and 2021 with Laser Tools Racing. In 2023, driving for NAPA Racing UK, Sutton secured his record-equalling fourth BTCC title, showcasing his skill and consistency in the competitive touring car scene, equalling Alain Menu's 1997 record with 12 wins in the same year.
