Antoine Kanaan Filho

Antoine Rizkallah "Tony" Kanaan Filho, born on December 31, 1974, is a Brazilian racing icon. Known to fans as "TK," Kanaan's career is highlighted by the 2004 IndyCar Series championship and a memorable victory at the 2013 Indianapolis 500. His dedication and skill have made him a beloved figure in the racing world.

Kanaan began his racing journey in Brazil, excelling in karting before moving to Europe to further his career. He competed in Italian Formula Alfa Boxer Championship, where he won the title. Later, he transitioned to the United States, achieving success in the Indy Lights Championship, winning the title in 1997. His progression led him to Championship Auto Racing Teams (CART) and ultimately the IndyCar Series, where he became a household name.

Throughout his IndyCar career (2002-2023), Kanaan achieved 16 wins, 73 podiums and 11 pole positions. Beyond IndyCar, Kanaan has also shown his versatility by participating in events like the Rolex 24 at Daytona, which he won in 2015. Even after retiring from full-time IndyCar racing, Kanaan's passion for motorsports remains evident. He even serves as the team principal for Arrow McLaren.
