Alan Brynjolfsson, born on December 20, 1967, is an American racing driver who embarked on his professional motorsports journey later in life, achieving significant success in a relatively short period. Transitioning from a successful career as the founder and CEO of Volt Lighting, Brynjolfsson turned his lifelong passion for racing into a reality in his late 40s. After proving his skills at open track days and Porsche club events, he quickly ascended to professional racing, showcasing his talent in various series.

Brynjolfsson's racing career has been marked by notable achievements, including winning the 2019 Porsche Cup, a prestigious award recognizing the most successful privateer Porsche driver globally. He also secured the 2022 IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge GS championship with teammate Trent Hindman. In 2021, he expanded his horizons by competing in the IMSA Prototype Challenge, showcasing his adaptability by racing a Ligier JS P320 LMP3 car. He has competed in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship GTD class with Wright Motorsports.
