Asian Le Mans Series

The Asian Le Mans Series, established in 2009 by the Automobile Club de l'Ouest (ACO), is a premier endurance racing championship that brings the spirit of Le Mans to the Asia-Pacific region. The series features a diverse grid of prototypes and GT cars, divided into three main classes:

LMP2: The top-tier prototype class, showcasing professional teams and drivers in high-performance machinery.

LMP3: A category designed for emerging talents and teams, offering a more accessible entry point into prototype racing.

GT: Dedicated to GT3-specification cars, this class features a variety of manufacturers and provides thrilling competition among professional and amateur drivers alike.

The championship typically spans multiple rounds across Asia and the Middle East, with races held at renowned circuits such as Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia, Dubai Autodrome in the UAE, and Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi. Each event consists of four-hour endurance races, challenging teams and drivers to demonstrate speed, strategy, and reliability.

A notable aspect of the Asian Le Mans Series is its role as a pathway to the prestigious 24 Hours of Le Mans. Championship winners in the LMP2 and GT categories receive automatic invitations to compete in the following year's 24 Hours of Le Mans, providing a significant incentive for teams aiming to showcase their prowess on the world stage.
