William Turner is an American racing driver with experience in both road racing and board track racing. While information on his recent activities is limited, historical records highlight a career that spanned the early 20th century.

Turner, also known as "Wild Bill" Turner, participated in the 1911 Indianapolis 500. Before that, in 1907, he secured a victory in one of the first 24-hour races held in the United States in Chicago. Additionally, he earned a perfect score in the Glidden Tour in both 1907 and 1908. In 1909, Turner finished as runner-up in the Fairmount Park Race, and in 1910, he won a special 50-mile match race, setting a record on a mile track.

Later in his life, Turner worked as a traveling salesman for Maxwell. He passed away at the age of 39 in Denver, Colorado, after battling a long illness. Even at the time of his death, he was known to still hold hillclimbing records in Colorado and had established a reputation as a consistent and skilled board track racer.
